Season of mists and mellow fruitfulness

The title is the first line of "To Autumn" a poem written by John Keats in 1890.

Many thanks to my brother in law Gerry who took these great photos on his last visit here.
October is my favorite month of the year here in Montana. The autumn colors are spectacular and the many sunny days are crisp and clear. No gloves required yet - but maybe a jacket or a cardigan. The abundance of fresh fruit and veggies at the Farmers Market is the best - wonderful apples and pears - wild mushrooms and all the different varieties of squash for soups and stews.

Our dog Henry likes to go for walks at this time of year.
